Congratulations Moveon.org

December 28th, 2007 admin Posted in Politics | No Comments »

moveon.org kicks some ass this year, watch the video, become a member. 2007 was obviously a great year for moveon.org. I think that the only good thing that has come out of the Bush regime is that so many of us have become so much more passionate and involved. Just the fact that you are reading this right now proves it.

Bush to Veto Defense Legislation

December 28th, 2007 admin Posted in Politics | No Comments »

ok so: “President George W. Bush intends to veto defense legislation after Iraq objected to a provision that could freeze its assets in the United States if Americans sue the country”

I thought that democracy meant that the majority ruled. Obviously not, according to Bush.

Republicans Love Terrorism

December 28th, 2007 admin Posted in Politics | No Comments »

We have got to put a stop to this. I would not vote for anyone that scares me into voting for him/her. This is one of my major issues with the republican party. If you listen to their TV and radio adds, they all have one thing in common: They use terrorism to make you think that we are in chaos and that they are the ones to save you from it. This is bullshit. Instead of mentioning the real issues, or giving real answers, they scare you, then tell you they are the ones that will protect you. Another tactic is to put the other candidates down to blur their record. Just because Mitt Rommney is bad presidential candidate, doesn’t mean that you are a good one. Unfortunately, if Dennis Kucinich or Ron Paul don’t make it pass the primary, we are going to be voting against someone, instead of for. Just like in the 2004 presidential elections, I don’t know a person that voted for George W. Bush, but I know a lot of people that voted against John Kerry.

Bhutto said she’d blame Musharraf if killed

December 27th, 2007 admin Posted in Politics | No Comments »

This lady was a true leader. Today I had a crazy thought, I think that a woman would make a better president. See, a man’s nature is to seek power and control others, a woman’s nature, instead, is to help  heal. In general, women are not violent and try to resolve their issues with diplomacy. President Bush and his cabinet continue to make the same mistake: To support leaders of other countries. Instead the U.S. should support systems of good checks and balances in a government, this way, the reliance is not on a person or a group, instead, it is a science. When you back science (a system that works) you can’t go wrong.  A system doesn’t change, and if a group or leader tries to break the system, its natural checks and balances push it to the center. Example: our Constitution. When you back a group or person you put all your eggs in that person, but if you back a system, like the one our constitution describes, you will always have a reason to justify your actions.

How many times have we backed the wrong person? Sadam Husein, Osama Bin Ladden, Fidel Castro, Chavez…all these were leaders we once supported, instead of supporting the constitution and system of a specific country. When you support a specific leader, you make enemies, something the Bush administration has made a sport out of.

I can almost see it in the oval office during daily presidential briefings: “Bush: ok guys, who are we going to piss off today?” Condolesa Rise raises her hand and says: “I know this one, I know this one, pick me pick me” lol
